Description
Arrangement for wind orchestra of the famous episode from the German romantic opera “Lohengrin” by Richard Wagner.
Arr: Giacomo Roghi
This beautiful and touching episode of romantic music comes at the end of the second act, when Elsa of Brabant, the female protagonist of the opera, is about to marry the knight who rescued her. Later, it will be discovered that he is none other than Lohengrin, the mythical knight of the Holy Grail.
This arrangement is part of those beautiful band arrangements of the first half of the 1900s that were made to spread the beauty of theater music at a capillary level, reaching every street and every house, but with an instrumental adaptation that lends itself to execution by a modern staff.
