“The idea of ​​writing this FUN for three Bass Clarinets stems from my passion for the “Sax-shaped Clarinet” since I was a child.

Initially I played the Bass Clarinet as a self-taught and later, after graduating from the conservatory, I decided to deepen the study of this instrument and its repertoire.

This composition, which recalls the Baroque style, enhances the timbre and technical characteristics of the instrument through virtuosic passages alternating with more expressive moments with a lyrical and cantabile character. In the composition the three Bass Clarinets play the same solo role, therefore all performers are required to be able to exchange the main parts alternating with the accompaniment ones.”
